
We are so excited to announce the details for the 2026 Mid Year Concert!
Our Mid Year Concert is an informal concert that allows parents, grandparents and friends to see what your children have learnt in class throughout the first half of the year. We are so excited to be presenting our 3rd Mid Year Concert revamped as a family fun day..... Step Up Winter Fest!!

We are having 4 shows:
SHOW #1 - Ready Set Dance Stars at 12pm.
SHOW #2 - Mini's at 2pm.
SHOW #3 - Juniors + Mini/Junior combined classes at 4pm.
SHOW #4 - Gulgong/Mudgee Intermediates & Seniors + Dunedoo students at 6pm.
We are expecting all shows to go for roughly 45 minutes-1 hour.
WHEN
Saturday 25th July.

LOCATION
Our Mid Year Showcase will be held at St Matthews Catholic High School Mudgee
STALLS
We have a variety of stalls coming to Step Up Winter Fest.
- There will be food and treats available to purchase on the day.
- We will have our very popular Limited Addition Step Up Merch stand.
- We have Hair Braiding station where you can get your hair braided with coloured extensions (If you are interested this will be a pre booked activity at your own expense and the link to book/pay will be released closer to the event)
- We will have a face painting stand. This will be a free for all the kids to enjoy.
Plus loads more fun activities.
We are sooooo excited!!!
WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU GET THERE
1. Take a photo in front of the balloon arch and media wall and tag us to go in the running for prizes from the Merch stand!
2. Visit the food stands and stalls... Yummy food, face painting, hair braids, limited addition merch and so much more!!
3. Sign in at the table and leave your child with our volunteers.
4. Go and take your seat in the audience ready to watch your child.
5. At the completion of the show your child can be picked up from the same place they were dropped off.
5. Make sure you check out our Merch stand and all the fun stalls before you go home!
Please note; you are welcome to video your child during the Catwalk but please keep your phones down during the dances so everyone can see.
UNIFORM
All students are required to wear full Step Up uniform to perform in as well as the correct footwear. This includes:
READY SET DANCE: pink leather ballet shoes, NEW ruffle frill socks, ready set dance dress, ready set dance cross over (optional).
READY SET TAP: Optional. Tan Tap shoes, NEW ruffle frill socks, ready set dance dress, ready set dance cross over (optional). Please let me know if you would like to tap so I can add you to the list.
BALLET: your dance uniform, no stockings, pink leather ballet shoes.
JAZZ: your dance uniform, no stockings, black slip on jazz shoes.
HIP HOP: your dance uniform, no stockings and white high top converse.
LYRICAL: your dance uniform, no stockings, pink leather half sole ballet shoes.
ACRO: your dance uniform, no stockings, no shoes.
TAP: your dance uniform, no stockings, tan tap shoes. Seniors to wear black lace up tap shoes please.

GET DOWN DADDY PERFORMANCE - A special performance at the end of the preschool show where all preschoolers will perform a dance with their daddy or someone special in their lives! The video to practice will be posted on BAND and in our Private facebook page.
Please note:
-Wearing your jackets is a great idea but we won't be wearing them for performances.
- Please no Mamma Mia/Road Trip/ Broadway bound Shirts.
-No old style uniforms. If you're unsure please check with your teacher.
-Please make sure your uniform is in good condition, equality is important and you don't want your child being the only one in an old, wash faded uniform.
-No stockings are required.
-Please no Kmart tights, singlets or long sleeve shirts underneath your Ready Set Dresses or uniforms. If you want long sleeve it needs to be a Ready Set Crossover for all RSD or a Step Up Long Sleeve for everyone else.
-All Minis, Juniors, Intermediates and Seniors must wear full Step Up Uniform (including bottoms- no nike or other branded tights).
- Please make sure all your dancer's items are clearly labelled with their FULL NAME.
- If your dancer gets hair braids or face painting before their show that's okay they are welcome to dance with it.
- REMINDER - as of 2026 all jazz classes will wear Black Jazz Shoes, we will no longer wear tan for performances, we are in the process of fading these out.
Make sure you don't leave any uniform purchases until the last minute as our uniform does sell out fast!
GROOMING
-Ready Set Stars can have 2 x pigtails or 1 high pony tail but please curl them and keep them neat and slicked back off the face. No fringes please.
-Mini's & Juniors- all hair is required to be pulled neatly off their face in a high ponytail, not part please use lots of hairspray and no fringes or whispy bits. Please straighten or curl your ponytail to make it sleek and neat and not frizzy.
-Intermediates & Seniors to wear a low pony tail with middle part and red lipstick.
-Light make up is required as there will be a little bit of stage lighting on them. Foundation, gold sparkle eye shadow, pink blush, black mascara, bright pink lipstick but no eye liner ticks please. Ready Set Dance no make up please.
-Please also make sure shoes and uniforms are clean and looking presentable.

If you are unsure of your dancers class names these can be viewed on your Studio Lab account.
12pm - All preschool / ready set dance classes
2pm - All mini classes
4pm - All junior classes & mini/junior combined classes
6pm - Inters/ Seniors/ All Dunedoo
***If your child is unable to attend the concert – please let us know ASAP so teachers can be notified.***
If you aren't already, please make sure you are on Band App. Teachers will be posting class updates and videos of routines along with the music for your dancer to practice in the lead up to Mid-Year. Reach out if you need any assistance with joining your dancers classes on Band.
Tickets go on sale Thursday 25th June @7pm and can be purchased by clicking the button at the top of this page.
TICKETING INFORMATION
$25 per person for entry to the entire Step Up Winter Fest, stay for as long as you like. 1 ticket allows you to watch all the shows.
* Children who are not yet at school do not require a ticket if they will not be occupying a seat and will sit on a parents lap as long as they don't obstruct views or run around/sit in the aisles.
Note: Tickets are general admission, there is no allocated seating or limits on number of tickets you can purchase.

*** Dancers do not need a ticket to enter the Step Up Winter Fest. They will be supervised backstage with our designated helpers, parents do not go backstage with your dancers. Please sign them in on arrival and leave them with us, we promise to take good care of them and will have plenty of things to keep them busy while they wait. Parents can then sit in the audience and enjoy! ***
